Ardagh Cottage Resort is a small, friendly, housekeeping cottage resort on scenic Lovesick Lake in the beautiful Kawarthas region of central Ontario, Canada. Lovesick Lake is located just north of Peterborough in Burleigh Falls, on the Trent Severn Waterway System between Stony Lake and Lower Buckhorn Lake.

Along with our cottage rentals,  our Kawartha resort offers  beautiful scenery in the Kawarthas on a well treed lot, great fishing, and easy access to 386 kilometers (240 mi.) of fabulous boating through the Trent Severn Waterway System. Our cottage  rentals are spacious, well-maintained and equipped. All cottages have screened porches and come with propane Weber barbeques  and outdoor firepits. A sandy beach, safe swimming area, children's playground, outdoor shuffleboard, badminton and horseshoes are all available on the grounds. As well, our canoes, kayaks and pedalboats are available free of charge to our guests.   Our Kawartha resort has 10 cottages and one studio unit.

The Kawartha Lakes are well-known for their fishing. In Lovesick Lake we have walleye (pickerel), bass, muskie and panfish. Boat and motor rentals are available, or you can bring your own boat and use our on-site launch. Kayaking, canoeing, and hiking are all popular activities. Many of our guests enjoy canoeing or kayaking on beautiful Lovesick Lake. But there are also many other incredible lakes and rivers in the area for those who wish to venture further.

Petroglyphs Provincial Park offers a varied collection of hiking trails in addition to viewing the Petroglyphs and their information centre. Hiking trails are also available at other parks in the area.

There are also several golf courses nearby Ardagh Cottage Resort  for those who wish to spend some of their relaxation time on the links.  Katchiwano Golf and Country Club, Marvel Rapids and Six Foot Bay Resort are popular for golfing destinations in the area.

Colours 'n' Crows is an annual fall event in the Buckhorn and Burleigh Falls area. An amazing number of scarecrows, created by both local businesses and residents, are displayed throughout the area. The scarecrow displays and our magnificent autumn colours are an  amazing combination and have made this  event a wonderful success.  Colours 'n' Crows 2008 will take place from September 27 - October 13, 2008.
